David’s keen interest and extensive knowledge of world military history is the foundation for both a personal and professional passion to deliver distinctive military tours. David has personally travelled and trekked:

Tours especially catering for the Australian history enthusiast are carefully crafted by Travel Prospects for clients to experience regions Australians defended, with tales of heroic successes and tragic gallant defeats.
Military Heritage & History
David’s family tree includes a military heritage shared by so many other Australian families, with Great Grand fathers who fought in WWI.
An interesting link to France is via David’s Great Grandfather, Arthur Lines, who served in and around Villers Bretonneux winning the Military Medal for gallantry. He remained in France, marrying a local French girl from Villers Bretonneux. (famous as the site of the Australian National memorial cemetery and where in 1918 the Australians fighting as an “Australian Army” stopped the German advance and turned the tide of the war.)
